Dark-Future reset (V1.7.7)

Hello fellow gangsters,
We have decided to reset this version (1.7.6) in its current state with the exception that Deathsquad will be disabled and the Vlad 9 crime will be balanced.
The reason for this is that we are working on a complete makeover of Dark Future and we know many of you are waiting for a fresh start! :-)
In this makeover we have a major redesign in the layout and also big bug fixes.

The changes take a lot of time, including time to test. This version will come online in the next reset, so Q4 2010.
And yes Deathsquad will be fixed.
In that version we have expanded the world, you will have 20 cities to travel to.
Crimes are all over changed, equally balanced and the higher the crime the better.
Vehicles changed and are somewhat more realistic.
+ a lot more :-)
Finally we are very proud to announce that we have removed the ASC from the crimes page and implemented an ASC globally on a few specific functions.
(crimes, trades and stocks)
All this in the next version, so be patient and maybe you'll be invited to our beta tests :-)

Armageddon is at hand and it'll be a bloody massacre!
You can't walk the streets without being robbed. No respect for the dead. Bullets are flying everywhere. No-one feels safe enough to sleep anymore. It's hunt or be hunted.
You better watch your back because it wont stop untill everyone is DEAD!

Database rollback to 6:00am, August 4th

Around 6AM this morning (August 4th ), our database got corrupted. Resulting in an unlimited money and crimepoints gain bug when selling your stocks.
For this we had to do a rollback.
If you registered this morning between 6am and 11am you will need to reregister.
To compensate this we gave everyone 2000 crime points.
Our apologies.

Hi people,
We are sorry to say that our database got corrupted. So we had to roll back to a backup of Tuesday, June 22 12:10 (CEST).
To compensate for this we gave everyone 5000 extra crimepoints.

Crime points difference

Seems that people have started before (roughly) 19:30 have received 1800 crime points, while the people after got 3600.
Those with 1800 have been corrected and received 1800 crime points.

Updates
New servers
Because our old server (4 years old already) became a bit unstable we've installed 3 new servers to handle the Dark-Future.org visitors.
Because of this a lot of "behind the scene" code had to be rewritten in order to become compatible with the mult-server setup. (loadbalancing, memcache, etc)
This took a bit longer than we had counted on. But hopefully you can imagine that we did our best.
Bug fixes
- hiding behind your rank with a halfy formed crew should not be possible anymore. If you start a crew, you will not receive any points until you have 5 members.
- minor lfs fix, when user with lfs tagged goes offline
- Maximum amount of crime points increased to 20.000
Technical changes in the following functions: (for the multi-server setup, you don't notice anything)

- logging
- images
- mailing

Registration mails and hotmail

It seems that our registration mails are being delivered with a big delay towards hotmail.com and could be seen as junk/spam mail.
Please be patient or try using an alternative mail provider.
